Hi! My name is Arushi Sharma and I’m the Editor-in-Chief for The Dispatch! As editor-in-chief, it is my goal to continue to produce content that is informational and entertaining for our audience. When I write myself, I am responsible for the front page of The Dispatch.

Additionally, I’m the President of the Key Club International, President of the Spanish Honor Society, Vice President of the Amnesty International, and Captain of Bowie’s Golf Team. When I’m not in school, I have an interest in learning more about technology and volunteering. I enjoy trying out new coffee shops and hanging out with my family and friends.

As of Monday, Oct. 5, Bowie is in Phase 2 of its campus reopening plan. After completing a COVID-19 health screening, students report to SHIP rooms on campus, remaining in the same classroom the entire school day while completing remote instruction via Zoom and BLEND. The total amount of students and staff allowed on campus is calculated on a weekly basis, called the building capacity, based off national and local health guidelines.

On Thursday, August 6, the AISD School Board voted to prolong the start of school to Sept. 8.
