Flying Bread brand, a success and rising.

Part-time high school student mixed with part-time business owner, LASA student, Kyle O’Rourke, turned his everyday sketches into a successful reality. Seen on posters around Bowie High School, the new brand “Flying Bread” has increased popularity and respect.

O’Rourke uses his modern website to sell things from tshirts, hats, hoodies and stickers all with the name-brand design printed on them. He silk screens prints all of his orders by himself and then hand delivers them. Being in highschool, especially LASA, is very time consuming, so I think being able to run a growing business is extremely impressive.

First glance at his website you notice the original design and modern feel to it. O’Rourke uses moving graphics and efficient hyperlinks to guide you through the website. He also uses his creativity to allow the customer to customize his/her hoodie by selecting hoodie color, the type of logo, and logo color. The efficiency of and personalized feel of the website represents the brand as very professional, and I think the idea of creating your own items from start to finish is really unique and efficient.

The logos O’Rourke uses are edgy yet stylish with a contemporary twist. The fact that O’Rourke was able to create such a quirky brand all by himself shows a lot about the personal vibe the website and brand gives off.

Although not apart of the initial set-up of the brand, the Kimbrough sisters have contributed to the modeling and photography aspect of the brand. Ellie Kimbrough, , took pictures of her younger sister Jesse Kimbrough, , modeling the brand for the “Lookbook” on the website. The pictures show off all the different logos along with different colored hoodies and tshirts. I think the Lookbook adds a touch of professionalism and helps contribute to the overall alternative vibe of the brand.

Overall this brand definitely has an unique and personal feel to it separating it from all other popular brands on the market right now. Not only is it exclusive in its style, but the fact that a high school kid is running it with little to no outside help is amazing. In summary, I will definitely purchase merchandise from this brand in the future and would recommend it to other people as well.
