Fall: It Kinda Sucks

Ellie Coulston, Online Writer

Fall has just arrived and is as much of a let down as ever. Fall is one of my favorite season for a number of reasons, but then, all of my loving and pure dreams about fall are crushed by the state of Texas.
Fall is supposed to be filled with cold weather and warm clothes. All of us basic white but girls get happy about seeing those tweets from the accounts on twitter talking about the wonderful thing about fall that they repost every year. And every year I am disappointed with Texas for not being the perfect fall wonderland.
I have a list of things that make me joyous about fall, and another list of things that ruin it.
Cold weather; the scolding hot weather of Texas
The pretty brown and orange leaves; Texas always has dead leaves
Snuggling up by the fire with hot chocolate; you would die of a heat stroke
Wearing the cute long sleeve clothes; You would die of a heat stroke
So basically it is just the weather that ruins the happiness of fall, but don’t get me wrong, I still have a longer list of things that Texas doesn’t ruin about fall.
1. Halloween
2. The new drinks at Starbucks
3. The fall foods like pumpkin seeds  4. pumpkin bread
4. Pumpkin bread
5. The football games
6. Pumpkin patches
7. Being all spooky
8. Most of the new shows and old shows release new seasons
9. Thanksgiving/ Thanksgiving break
10. S’mores
11.  Candy corn
Though Texas takes some out of the fun out of fall, all around, the season is still one of the bests. Reading the things about fall brings a smile to my basic face, I still retweet all the fall tweets I find every year, and I still put on clothes that I regret wearing halfway through the day because of the heat, and I still pretend it is cold.
