Teacher + Student Tennis Tournament returns for a second year

The Teacher + Student Tennis Tournament made a comeback this year as the tennis team organized its second annual event. Doubles matches were played with tennis players partnering up with teachers in the tournament. The winners of the tournament were tennis coach Ryan Boone and his student partner, freshman Aden Pearmon.

“I think the teachers loved being involved with the students,” senior Ava Sprott said.

“Having the tournament gives more recognition for the tennis program,” Boone said. “We think it’s a great way to build a bond between the students and teachers.

“It was really fun to play against the other teachers, and I really enjoyed it,” Pearmon said.
