Themed around vampires, the event is one of several times they open every year, each time with differently themed haunted houses. We once again had the amazing opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look into the House of Torment, interviewing the creative minds behind the seasonal scares.

POSING FOR THE AUDIENCE: Star Dancer Maya Barrera strikes a pose as the lead of her routine at Spring Show. The new focal point of the hallway and transforming the steal and cold corridor into a piece of artwork. “I am always trying to improve my style whether that is changing the alphabet I have on rotation for a fresher look,” Horner said. “Or perfecting a personalized palette are ways that I am to continue growing as an artist.”

A SPARKLING INVENTORY: A shining array of formal dresses can be seen hanging on a clothing rack outside Kristin Mijares downstairs B-hall classroom. With the help of her community, Mijares was able to collect donated clothing items and provide Bowie students with free prom attire.
