My name is Vivi Lopez-Stern and I am a junior. I started paying more attention to journalism during the pandemic when I started watching the news more frequently. When I began to appreciate the important role that journalism plays in our society, I decided to further my knowledge of the subject through taking a journalism elective in my freshman year. This year I’m excited to play a bigger role on the newspaper staff and put out content that really matters to the Bowie community. Besides journalism, some of my favorite activities to do outside of school are dancing, spending time with family, and crocheting. :)
