Victoria Newell, Managing Editor
My name is Victoria Newell and this is my senior year at Bowie High School. I’m a Managing Editor with Mia Barbosa and I’ve been on staff for three years. My first concert was my favorite band Panic! At the Disco with my best friend Hannah Behan, and my favorite TV shows are the Walking Dead, Gotham, and Stranger Things. My all time favorite movie ever and the best piece of cinematic art as well as the most accurate and just all around perfect adaption of the beloved classic is the 2003 live-action Peter Pan. Some honorable mentions are Hook with Robin Williams and Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron with Matt Damon (don't mention the Netflix kids show spin-off, it really upsets me). I love this paper, the incredible staff, and all the hard work they put out every single issue. I have a real passion for journalism, and plan to pursue it into my adult life. I have high hopes for The Dispatch this year, and can’t wait to see how it grows and matures!
