Blue Out Bowie

Kaitlyn Zellner, Online Managing Editor

Since April is child abuse awareness month PALS has taken it into their hands to get Bowie supporting this serious issue. On Friday, April 20th the 6th Annual Blue Out Bowie day will be happening in the courtyard. During both lunches on that Friday students are welcome to get cookies from tables in the courtyard during both lunches, as long as you are wearing blue.

Blue is the color for child awareness month so especially on the 20th students are encouraged to wear blue. In addition to wearing blue the option of donating to the cause and furthering awareness is much appreciated. PALS sponsor is history teacher, Alejandro Garcia, in room C201, so bring your donations there.

Since this month is dedicated to bringing awareness to child abuse PALS is teaming up with the Austin Center for Child Protection, so all donations will go to them. Acceptable donations include; crayons, colored pencils, markers, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, diapers, socks, shoes, and toys.

Lets get to helping make the world a better place, don’t hesitate to donate, and especially wear blue on April 20th.
