Have you ever been dreaming about your favorite food in the lunch room wishing you could get it?
Well, a lot of people wish that and I think we should be allowed food delivery. It’s basically the same as your parents bringing you food to the office, they just bring it in the office and drop it off on the shelf.
There are other schools that allow it and don’t have a problem with it and have never had a problem with it.
Like my mom and dad don’t have any time to drive all the way to a place, get my food and drive all the way to Bowie and back home. They have work all day and don’t have the same lunch time as me.
And it’s my own money and if I want to spend it on overpriced food and delivery then I should be able to.
We’re already not allowed to leave during lunch and I have no way to get real food that I want to eat.
Instead of what I want, I have to eat the very limited options that we have in the lunch room. I also have to stand in line for half the lunch period before I even get a bite of food.
What if I feel like eating Panara in the 7th period class? I can’t go to the lunch room, but if I ordered it at the right time, I could get it between classes and have the food I want.
If we are allowed to get Door Dash or Uber Eats then we can get what we want, when we want it, instead of getting chicken tenders that take 15 minutes of waiting in line and I don’t like.
I understand that a random person in the office might make you think it’s not safe, but we have things to stop those people from getting to the students, like locked doors and screened windows. We could just get a little outside shelf that is labeled food deliveries so they can just leave it there and when we come to get food we can just go out and get it. It’s no more unsafe than getting a parent to come and drop off food for you.
Or maybe we just let the delivery people come in and drop it off at the same place all the parents drop off their kids lunches.
I think we should be allowed to order off of food delivery apps and have them delivered to the school.
