Earlier this year MTV hosted the annual MTV Video Music Awards. Kanye West being the most anticipated person to show. The VMA’s awarded Kanye with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The Michael Jackson Vanguard Award is a highly anticipated award which usually includes a grand speech from the recipient, and a speech was definitely made by Kanye that has not been forgotten.

Kanye is known for saying crazy stuff but running for president?  West shouldn’t run for president. He has no political background. The way that Kanye acts in public does not show the characteristics of a future president. I believe he was just on another one of his rants.

I think he thought that since Donald Trump is running he thought, why not. In his acceptance speech he states, “I’m not no politician, bro!” Which proves he has no experience being in politics so how is he supposed to run the country? If Kanye wants to continue his music career why is he planning on running for president if he won’t have any time to proceed in this music career? Kanye West will not have any time with his second kid on the way.

On the other side of things, many believe that presidential candidates having a non-political background provides a different view on things. Kanye has also recently entered the fashion scene which requires a lot of structure and time to run your own fashion line and this shows how he is able to manage his time wisely.

Time magazine wrote an article about how Kanye is one of the most influential people which shows if he actually did run he might have a good chance at becoming president. If he is planning on running in 2020 he will get a lot of votes from the younger generations in America because they grew up listening to Kanye’s music and reading about the crazy things he does. It also doesn’t seem President Obama disagrees with Kanye running for president. In fact President Obama joked about him running for president .If he does run for President I would vote for him over Trump any day.

When Kanye plans on running for president it will be in four, almost five years. A lot could change in those four years for him and his growing family. In December of this year he is planned to have his second child. In a couple years he could change his mind. Kanye West has insisted that he is defiantly running for president and has been planning on to for five years. Still many politicians believe that Kanye is a joke. Kanye as president would definitely seem like the punchline of a joke.

Kanye for President would be a ridiculous idea. He has shown no effort before to get into politics so why now? His actions are very inappropriate and immature for wanting to be President. His music maybe good but his ideas are not. Kanye would not be a good President.
