Monday, Dec. 14: C-Day Schedule

As the last day of instruction before final examinations begin, classes today adhere to the C-Day schedule. An image of the schedule can be viewed on our Instagram.

Tuesday, Dec. 15: Final Examinations Begin

Tuesday marks the first official day of final exams for the 2020 Fall semester. On Friday, Dec. 4, Principal Mark Robinson announced the new final exam schedule for the Fall semester. The schedule revision comes in response to changes in Bowie’s fullfillment of instructional minutes required by the Texas Education Association (TEA) after the week post November break was made entirely remote. The administration has decided that the addition of two classes for the first three days of final examinations instead of early release is the most effective way to earn back the instructional hours, meaning students will be released from school at 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 to Thursday, Dec. 17. In spite of the revisions, students will be released early on Friday, Dec. 18 at 1:10 p.m. As of now, the revised final exam schedule is expected to apply to the Spring semester as well. 

Friday, Dec. 18: Attendance Incentives

As explained in our article about attendance incentives for the Fall 2020 final exams, students have the opportunity to receive up to two attendance incentives according to their respective amount of period absences. On Wednesday, Dec. 9, a complete list of students eligible for incentive was posted on the BLEND Bowie Community Course. If a student believes their eligibility status has been mistaken, they should attend the Exam Incentive Help and Troubleshooting sessions during FIT or lunch on Thursay, Dec. 10 or Friday, Dec. 11. Incentives can be claimed and used on Friday, Dec. 18.
