Hi! My name is Isadora Parra and I am a junior. This year I am a Photography Executive Editor and this is my second year on The Dispatch staff! In my free time I like to watch movies, hang out with friends, try out new cooking recipes, and to listen to all types of music! This year I am excited to be writing more stories and taking lots of photos! I can not wait for this new school year!

ALL KEYED UP: Second one to perform, senior Besa Carney focuses closely as she plays a Gershwin piano piece. Carney performed her own solo, but she also participated in the Jazz Combo with other students. “I wanted to have a performance of the jazz combo piece before we went to the competition,” Carney said. “I started to play piano when I was four years old, and then I’ve been in a jazz band for all of high school.”

OUR LAST DANCE: Elijah Cabello and Gracie Grahmann play Sophie Sheridan and Sky Rymand, a young couple expected to have their wedding soon, hold each other before they go to their separate ways to celebrate their last night unmarried. Cabello’s first time being a part of a musical was performing Mamma Mia. “I’ve loved getting to make my own choices with Sky, he is typically portrayed to be a bit more of a jerk, and I tried to make him a little easier to empathize with,” Cabello said. “I don’t usually play love interests, so playing Sky was a challenge for me. But, getting to play a guy in love was such a fun role for me. I’m glad one of my last opportunities to act in high school was doing Sky because I got to have so much fun with it and really make him my own.”
