Last weekend, Bowie High School’s Silver Stars held the Silver Star Spring Show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. With an end of the year slideshow, they commemorated their seniors and celebrated their last year on Silver Stars.

“I am not looking forward to the seniors leaving. I’ve known a lot of seniors since middle school and I can’t imagine dancing without them,” Junior Oliva Hanna said.

With the dancers ranging from Bowie’s Silver Stars to our students in the dance one through four classes, there were tons of dances to fill your night.

“I was looking most forward to the adrenaline rush that you get when you are on stage in front of a lot of people. It makes you feel like you can do anything which is such a cool feeling,” sophomore Victoria Regalado said.

Though the show was a success, there were some struggles that came along with the show.

“Fixing all our formations has been hard. The stage is so small that we can’t fit all 50 of us on there so we have to fix all our formations so that we can put everyone in the dance,” Hanna said.

With several perks about being on Silver Stars, many say that the best part is being with their friends.

“The best part about being on silver stars is the lasting memories that I get to make alongside my friends,” junior Bianca Rodriguez said.

“The best part of silver stars is the feeling of accomplishment when performing on the field or stage because so much hard work and cleaning goes into one dance and to see it all come together is impressive,” junior Katrina Kilsby said.

Putting this show on took lots of time and effort and none of it would have been possible without the directors and teachers.

“Our directors have helped us the most in the show by fixing our formations and cleaning our dances,” Hanna said.
