On March 13th Bowie hosted its annual Mr.Bulldog Competition. Mr. Bulldog is a competition where students go up against each other in multiple segments. The judges then choose out of all of the contestants who the 2016 Mr. Bulldog is.

“Any junior or senior at Bowie is allowed to try out for Mr. Bulldog. You needed to start signing up by early january” Mr. E said.

The contestants for Mr. Bulldog have to do multiple segments in the show the segments are Touch walk, Talent, swimsuit. They get help from their peers to come up with what they would do for the contest.

“My friends helped me a lot, mostly from Comedy Club. For Mr. Bulldog, I showed a spoof of a Star Wars video for the intro. It showed my journey to find my master, previous Mr. Bulldog winner and Comedy Club president, Jonah Foster. After that I came onstage singing and dancing to Hotline Bling, by Drake. For my talent, I pretended to do a high five off some stairs into a bowl of water. Then, a lifeguard helped save me. For my swimsuit section, I came out in a women candy tassels and bra. Twirled it around and bit them off… Very revealing. After that, I finalized. I had to answer a hard question. “If I could go back in time and witness a historical moment in history, what would I choose?”. I chose the birth of Drake the Rapper, my ideal and second persona.” Senior/ 2016 Mr. Bulldog Drake Touve said.

This was Touves first year in Mr Bulldog. The event was held in the theatre and a total of 23 students were in Mr. Bulldog, they had a total of five judges, one of them being a teacher here at Bowie.
