Classes at Bowie High School are way too loud and it is distracting the kids that are trying to get their work done. The loud noise can also lead some students to get really stressed and feel uncomfortable.
I think that some classes at Bowie are way too loud and end up causing students to over stress and hate the environment that they’re in.
Some of my friends have really bad anxiety and the loud classes can drive them crazy. One of my friends had to switch out of a class because it was too loud. I have had the same issue. Some classes I will try to get my work done but the noise level is too loud which drives me crazy.
I can back up my stance because in my AP history class which is usually really loud, I have a 79 in the class but in my Spanish class that is really quiet I have a 100 in the class. I believe the loud noise can cause me to either have a lot of stress.
I also believe that classes are too loud because when we are taking tests, the next door class will sometimes be really loud and distract me and I’m sure it would distract other students during the test.
Sometimes the class will also be too loud to where I can not hear the teacher and I don’t know what to do for the day because I could not hear the teacher the first time.
Some people might prefer their class to be noisy so they can talk to each other and help out during the class.
They also might like the noise volume to be loud because some students might not mind the noise because they don’t get stressed and just want to talk to their friends the whole class.
A solution I can come up with is that the first half of class when we have all of our work we stay quiet and let the students who want to get there work done in peace
In the second half of class or towards the end when people are finishing their work or need help we should be able to talk to our classmates but at an acceptable noise rate.
If we were to do this the both sides of the students would get what they want and there would be no trouble. This might also benefit the teachers because they might be able to teach without distractions.
I think that not being able to talk the whole class is a bit much but if we can just stay quiet and not raise the level above a two during the first part of class.
