Throughout the past month, group of teachers showcased their creativity to represent African American culture to honor Black History Month. Each of the doors highlight historical figures, quotes, and creative art to contribute to celebrating this culture and allows other students to learn about the importance of these figures. From leaders like Civil Rights activist Martin Luther King Jr, to NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson, together these people serve as a reminder of the achievements and struggles of African Americans throughout America’s history. These works or art also remind other students to treat others fairly and recognize the people that helped America grow and become what it is today.
