Throughout my three years at Bowie, I’ve had some of the most memorable experiences. The school itself is one of the most eventful things that has stuck out to me over the years. From water pipes, HVAC systems, and bugs everywhere I think everything going wrong at the most inconvenient times is something that no one is able to forget. I’ve had so many stupid experiences with friends over the years, doing ridiculous things at many in and out-of-school events has been something that I’ll always be grateful for! I’m so glad to have so many people surrounding me, motivating me to get up and be at school every day. Some of my more memorable moments have been in both of my journalism classes, they’re both very unique compared to all of the other classes in the school.
Talking to so many people through interviews and learning about their experiences is something I never really thought I would value but turned out to be something that I really quite enjoy. Everyone seems to have a different take on each question I asked and it really led to you talking about a completely different topic than you started with. I always found this super interesting because it gives you a different take on everyone in the school so that you talk to people that you would have never thought to talk to completely outside your usual friend group. During this class, I got to hone in on one of my hobbies, photography and got to grow so much inside that one skill set.
I think my time at Bowie was cut short due to COVID but it was nonetheless enjoyable due to all of the amazing memories I’ve made with super great people throughout the years. I think the school as a whole has prepared me academically and socially for the next step and I’m very excited to move on. I’ll always value my experiences here at Bowie when I look back and am excited to see the experiences the future holds.
