Senior Goodbye: Callie Payne

Callie Payne, Entertainment Editor

I cannot believe I am writing this, high school has truly gone by so fast. I thoroughly enjoyed my four years at Bowie and am so grateful for everything I learned along the way. It is so crazy to think about how much I have grown in these past four years. Even though there were some ups and downs, especially not being able to finish my junior year or even have a normal senior year, I am still thankful for the experiences and people I have met along the way. I had so much fun and will always value the time I had here.

To my mom- Thank you so much for everything you do. I know I don’t always say it but I am so thankful for you and could not appreciate you more. Thank you for always being there for me everytime I needed to talk to you or just vent, even when you were annoyed with me. Knowing that there is someone in this world that will always do anything for me and have my back is an amazing feeling. I also wanted to thank you for helping me so much when it came to the college process! I had never been more stressed out in my life and you made sure to help me every step of the way and at the stuff you couldn’t you were still there motivating me! Thank you for always instilling confidence, hardwork and kindness and giving me such a great role model as a mother. I love you so much and can’t wait for you to come visit me at college.

To my dad- Thank you for always supporting me in everything I do. Seeing how much you loved UT, inspired it to be my dream school so thank you so much for introducing me to that. You are such a motivated and hard working person, I truly admire and respect that. I think it definitely shaped me into who I am today. Also, thank you for always managing to put a smile on my face, you are definitely one of the chillest and funniest people I have ever met. I love you so much Dad!

To my best friends (Megan and Christina)- I love you guys so much and am so thankful for the friendship we have formed. I don’t know how high school would have been without the two of you but I am glad I never had to find out. In high school things are constantly changing, so to have two people who truly have your back makes things so much easier. We always have so much fun together and I will miss you guys so much when we go to college but I know we will still be as close because we have gone through so much before.

To Mr. Reeves- Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to join the newspaper sophomore year! I had no idea what to expect going into it but I honestly had such a good time. Once I began to learn how to put together a page, I had so much fun doing it. I also made some friends who I know will be in my life for awhile. It was also such a great experience especially since I will be majoring in Journalism.
