As quarantine keeps everyone home, I thought it would be a good idea to write about ways that teens can make some money during this prolonged period of physical distancing. Obviously, it would not be as much as having a part-time job, but extra cash can always come in handy. 

HQ Trivia

HQ Trivia is a mobile game show where players answer trivia questions for the chance of winning cash. This is a great app to play with family, especially since you get the advantage of having more people playing. Most rounds have 12 questions that get more difficult,and you have 10 seconds to answer the question. If  you are a fast typer, you might have time to quickly google the question for an extra advantage. I have personally won about $100 from this app, which  is not too bad considering it only takes about 15 minutes to play. Compared to some of the other apps and websites listed in this article, HQ Trivia is definitely one of the most fun to do.

Fiverr

Fiverr is a website where freelancers can sell their services to other people and businesses. Just about anything can be sold on Fiverr, from graphic design to small niches. If you have a particular skill in something, Fiverr is a great website to turn that skill into money. Fiverr can make you a lot of money, but you have to be proficient at a skill and be able to manage a business. That being said, you can make a lot of money on Fiverr if you have a business mindset and excel at a certain skill.

Selling Used Items

Because I have  been lying around the house a lot, I have noticed a lot of items that I do not  use. Many of these are in great condition and would be perfect to sell on a website like eBay. I have  sold some items on eBay before and it was easy to list the item and get it shipped. It did not  take much time at all before someone bought my items and I made around $75 for an hour’s worth of work. Selling items on eBay was also a good opportunity to gain experience with interacting with buyers and addressing any concerns that the buyer may have. 

Google Opinion Rewards

Google Opinion Rewards is a survey app available on IOS and Android. The app will occasionally send surveys that are worth 50 cents to a dollar. It is not a lot of money, but it takes little to no effort and the surveys can be completed quickly. When you are ready to cashout, the app will send the money to a linked PayPal account. Google Opinion Rewards is a quick way to earn some money, but it will not  be as much compared to Fiverr or eBay. However, it is a good choice if you want something quick to do on your phone.
