Class of 2020
The class of 2020 has had to give up some of the biggest events of their senior year due to the coronavirus. We want to honor them and show our support before they leave Bowie to achieve bigger and better things. This page will stay as tribute to those students to have and look back at for years to come.
Congratulations seniors, you did it!

Tristan Howell
My name is Tristan Howell, and I plan on attending Austin Community College. I don’t have a planed major so I am using ACC to and complete my required core classes while I search for my one. Coronavirus hasn’t affected me too harshly since I love staying at home and doing things online, and my family has enough financial stability that we can hunker down in our homes. During quarantine I have been...

Amanda Schwenke
Amanda will be attending the The University of Tulsa to study Psychology with a Neuroscience minor. This unconventional time has taught me to value being with my family before going off to college. I have also learned how much the Austin community supports one another with drive through birthdays and honking with support for prom.

Sarah Israel
Sarah Israel will be attending Texas State University to study anthropology.

Bailee Watson
I plan on attending ACC and then I’ll transfer to a fine arts college. I would like to major in Photography. My fondest memory of Bowie was starting Bowie’s first Photography Club as a sophomore and continuing it through my senior year has definitely helped me with trying to be less introverted. Each meeting we would come up with different activities and it was always exciting and enjoyable...

Marisol Cacho
Marisol Cacho will be attending the University of Texas at Austin to study Art History. Before this pandemic, I had planned to go to college in Switzerland and study art history in the beautiful Swiss alps, hours away from the best museums. However since that is not possible, I will be attending UT austin next fall and will continue to pursue a Ph.D in art history with a minor in business management...

Natalie Meyer
I will be attending Texas State University I will be majoring in Biology If I could go back to myself 4 years ago I would tell myself simply to be myself, try new things, adventure out. My 4 years at Bowie High School I have made many new friends, and learned many things through hard times and easy A’s! I would tell my freshman self to not be scared of others to join new opportunities given to...

Liam Kornacki
I will be attending the University of Texas at Austin And will major in Government James Bowie High School was an interesting environment, to say in the least. From the in-depth fine arts programs, to the teachers that help Bowie become a place that trains for higher education; people leave bigger and better than when they came in. I’m one to talk, at the beginning I was a somewhat shy and introverted...

Kate Livingston
The college that I will be attending in the fall is Grand Valley State University I will major in nursing with a minor in Spanish This unconventional situation has taught me many things. The most important thing I’d say it has taught me, though, is that nothing in life is guaranteed. You can make plans and have everything under control and then life will happen and those plans will be dera...

Mishell Magnus Ducloux
College: The University of Texas at Austin Major: Psychology After weeks of not stepping foot on campus, I decided to run by my beloved high school that was ripped away from me on March 12th, 2020. I walked up to the front doors that look into the courtyard and my eyes couldn’t help but fill with tears. The place that is usually so full of life with the buzz and blur of thousands of students...

Madison Messer
After high school I will enlist in the Army. I ship out June 8th and am a 92 Romeo which is a parachute rigger. The rigger you have to go to Airborne school where I get to jump out of planes and even test my own parachute I get to pack to make sure that they are packed correctly. Honestly my life in high school has been nothing but a roller coaster that has not a bad ending but an ending no...

Attention seniors!!!!
We all have lost so much during this time, but one thing seniors have lost is closure. Senior year will have no satisfying end for us, and we will not even get to dance together at prom or move those tassels at graduation (at least for now). The one thing we can do is come together and share our goodbyes here! DIRECTIONS: Please email [email protected] with the following information: Your firs...
