Senior Goodbye: Dalton Spruce

Dalton Spruce, Dispatch Reporter

To all of you that know me, and all of you that knew.

This might seem underwhelming, as if I didn’t think we were a crew.

But please let me remind you, although the year is through.

I will certainly remember all the good deeds done by you.

They say that life is measured by the people that were changed by you.

And I am here to let you know that this is totally true.

Now here I am, standing as proof, that this class changed me too.

I’ll remember the laughs, the cries and the times where nothing seemed certain or true.

However this class is a safe haven, at last, for people like me and you.

We worked, we played (and didn’t get paid) but the real value still shines through.

All of us have become more talented and revered and held our course as true.

And every last one of our crew has become a beacon for knowledge and truth.

So goodbye my friends, we shared our odds and ends, it is time to finally take flight.

I wish you all the best from my heart, and I thank you for fighting the good fight.

So let us all raise our glass for one of our last and keep striving,

for what is right.
